I’ve been quietly working all morning and have finished the overall design of the level, just recently closing up the final gap in the outer mountain wall of the mountain forest area. Last night I also fixed the problem with the bridge that gets in the way of the players view by lowering it and replacing the rather large natural bridge with a stone one. I imagine the developers of this game avoided looping under structures like I did, but I managed to get it to work.
I’ve finalized the layout of the entire world and have been adding in details for the last couple hours. In this area, play proceeds from interest area 1 (see white numbers in image) and ends at 5. Along the way there are areas to divert the player attention and prompt him or her to continue searching for hidden areas (there are multiple hidden areas throughout this world). Click on the image to find out more about interest areas 1-5. Once I’m done on this side of the world, I will go back to the coastal side to apply what I’ve learned on this side there.
